Director’s Diary – March 2018

Registration is open! I am so excited for summer, my favorite season. Most of you know why… CAMPING! Camp Ho Mita Koda gave me the gift of my favorite hobby, being in the great outdoors. It’s funny, before I went to camp as an 11 year old I had never gone camping with my family or anyone before. So, don’t think that previous camping experience is required for summer camp!

In registration you have to opportunity to purchase horseback or paintball for $50. We partner with Blue Lakes Farm across the street for horseback riding. Your camper will enjoy an activity period at Blue Lakes Farm riding and grooming horses. At paintball your camper will experience a variety of activities including, shoot moving targets on a pulley system at our range. During day camp sessions campers will enjoy our low ropes course activities; such as using teamwork and counselor support to get through our spiders web maze. During the weekend of session 5/6, our older campers will compete in our color war. Color war is a camp wide game where we split the camp in half and we play some classic camp games such as tug of war and capture the flag.
