Join us Session 3 for one of our unique Specialty Camp offerings. This unique and shortened week provides opportunities for campers to enjoy the magic of camp, while diving deeper into a topic or subject that best interests them. It provides a break from the normal camp routine and helps develop skills and experience. For more information, visit our Specialty Camp page.
CHMK invites T1D campers to bring their buddies (siblings, cousins, friends, neighbors, etc) — not only to help grow their own support community when they return to their own neighborhoods and schools, but to grow the community of T1D advocates across Ohio. For more information visit our Buddy Camp page.
Financial assistance for the 2021 season is on a first-come, first serve basis and awards are limited by total overall funding available and number of applicants. For more information or to apply for our campership program, please visit our Financial Assistance page.
For campers aged 15-17 years old who are entering their sophomore, junior or senior year of high school, the Leader-In-Training (LIT) program is an option to remain engaged with Camp Ho Mita Koda. More information on the program can be found HERE.
Adventure Bridge Program
Campers who would like to attend for two weeks, Session 1 & 2 or Sessions 4 & 5, may take advantage of our “Adventure Bridge” program at an additional cost of $100. The Adventure Bridge program allows campers to remain at camp through the transitional days between sessions to continue with their experience uninterrupted. The Adventure Bridge add-on is not eligible for the early bird discount.
Families can take advantage of our $50 “Early Bird” discount, per session enrolled. This discount is available to our families from November 1, 2020- January 30, 2021. Use the code’ EB2021′ to receive $50 off per session of Overnight or Specialty Camp.
Discounts do not apply to the Adventure Bridge, Day Camp, Family Camp, or LIT Programs.
With the unexpected news of a diagnosis, coupled with rising healthcare costs, Camp Ho Mita Koda is proud to sponsor first-time campers who have a T1D diagnosis within 12 months of the camp season with a 50% financial assistance award. Individuals who receive a T1D diagnosis within 6 months of the camp season will recieve a 100% financial assistance award.
To learn more about first-time diagnosis assistance, please contact our camp office at 440-739-4095.
Families sending more than one child to camp in the same season receive $50 off the second enrolled camper! We encourage siblings to attend camp together to strengthen their bonds and provide support while away from home. Speak with the camp office for options available to limit or allow siblings to reside in the same cabin, groups, etc.
Discount not applicable to Family Camp programs.
Campers who attend more than one session in a season are eligible for our multi-week discount of $50 per each additional session enrolled. All sessions at Camp Ho Mita Koda are one-week in length, with the camper having the ability to extend their experience by attending two back-to-back weeks or attending two sessions on different dates throughout the summer season.
Discount valid only for summer camp offerings.
T1D Buddy Camp invites children and teens with type 1 diabetes to bring their buddies (siblings and friends) to enjoy the adventures and challenges on the lake, trails, and climbing routes with them. Kids who join us at CHMK Buddy Camp will meet new friends and have a fun time while showing their buddies that diabetes does not limit them from doing all the fun things everyone else does.
In this way we hope to grow awareness and support for the T1D community and provide another level of support outside of camp.
