Camp Expands Boating Program Thanks to Ohio Department of Natural Resources

Camp Ho Mita Koda received a Boating Safety and Education Grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR). The $5,387 grant is supporting an expanded waterfront program at camp this summer to include canoe, kayak, and rowboat safety education and skill development in addition to sailboat instruction. Grant funds were used to purchase equipment such as kayaks, paddles, and oars and to certify a Boating Program Coordinator to oversee the program. The new boating courses are being offered this summer as a regular activity choice.
