Camp Ho Mita Koda 2

Camp Ho Mita Koda 2 is an overnight, summer camp for teens ages 12-17 with type 2 diabetes. Campers at Camp Ho Mita Koda 2 have the opportunity to explore the fun of traditional camp activities including swimming, singing around the campfire and making new friends, while learning new ways to better manage their diabetes. Children are helped to retain control and encouraged to achieve independence in diabetes self- management.

Experienced physicians from the area’s major medical centers and teaching hospitals oversee the care of each camper. A medically trained dispensary staff is on duty 24 hours a day. A registered dietitian plans and supervises the well-balanced meals and snacks.
